Security architecture explained simply
How DryVault defends your passwords, private files, and secret notes. Learn how authenticated encryption, key derivation, and local sandboxing protect you every day.
AES-256-GCM Cipher
Every credential, private photo, document, and note is secured using authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption. This standard provides both ironclad secrecy and built-in tamper detection.
What this means for you: Your secrets are protected with the same cryptographic standard trusted worldwide by banking and defense institutions. Every record has an unforgeable cryptographic seal that alerts the app if anyone has altered your files.
PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA-256 Key Derivation
Your Master PIN never encrypts your data directly. Instead, it serves as the root seed for an intensive cryptographic calculation executed exclusively on your device's processor.
What this means for you: Your Master PIN is never saved anywhere. Instead, your phone runs over 100,000 mathematical iterations with a unique device salt to unlock your vault. This makes it impossible for automated cracking tools to guess your PIN.
Local On-Device Sandboxed Storage
By default, 100% of your data lives exclusively in your mobile device's private app sandbox. DryVault requires no remote accounts, no cloud setup, and functions seamlessly with zero internet connection.
What this means for you: Other apps on your phone cannot access or view your vault. Even if someone extracts your phone's internal storage chip, they cannot read your data without your Master PIN.
In-Memory RAM Zeroing on Lock
The moment you lock your vault or auto-lock fires, all decryption keys and plaintext credentials in active memory are actively overwritten with zeros and erased.
What this means for you: When you step away from the app, DryVault doesn't just hide behind a screen; it actively shreds decryption keys from device RAM. If you hand your phone to someone, your secrets are mathematically sealed.
Isolated Google Drive Cloud Sync
If you want persistence across multiple devices, DryVault backs up directly to your personal Google Drive account using a restricted, hidden application sandbox.
What this means for you: DryVault is strictly quarantined to its own hidden app folder. It cannot see, read, or touch your personal Google Drive documents, spreadsheets, or family photos. All files uploaded are already encrypted into unreadable ciphertext.
Audit the architecture on your device
DryVault operates with zero server intermediaries. Install version 1.0.4 and take full control of your personal security.
