Terms of Use: Software License & Rules.
By installing or using DryVault, you agree to these Terms of Use. DryVault is a client-side cryptographic utility software designed for complete user privacy and data sovereignty.
Critical Notice: Absolute Key Custody
DryVault operates with strict zero-knowledge architecture. Because there are no centralized accounts, no customer database, and no server-side recovery mechanisms, you are solely responsible for memorizing and safeguarding your Master PIN. If you lose or forget your Master PIN, your vault contents cannot be decrypted or recovered by anyone, including the developers of DryVault.
1. Software License & Permitted Use
Choresnest grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to download, install, and execute DryVault on your compatible mobile and tablet devices strictly for personal or business data protection purposes.
You agree not to reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute malicious modifications of DryVault intended to circumvent device security or harvest unauthorized cryptographic material.
2. Data Ownership & Absence of Host Liability
You retain 100% exclusive intellectual property and ownership rights over all data, passwords, credentials, notes, and files stored within your DryVault vault.
Because DryVault does not possess access keys, transmission channels, or access to your vault contents, you acknowledge and agree that Choresnest has no custody over your data and is not liable for data loss arising from forgotten PINs, local hardware failure, operating system corruption, or user-initiated storage purges.
3. Cloud Backup via Third-Party Services (Google Drive)
DryVault provides optional synchronization with Google Drive. By utilizing this feature:
- You agree that sync operations take place directly between your device and Google's cloud servers.
- DryVault does not operate, manage, or guarantee Google Drive infrastructure.
- You are bound by Google's respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policy concerning Google Drive storage.
- You may disconnect or revoke Google Drive permissions at any time via the Cloud Drive screen or Google Account settings.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
DryVault is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
While DryVault utilizes industry-standard cryptographic primitives (AES-256-GCM, PBKDF2), we do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely immune to operating system-level physical compromises (such as rooted devices or hardware side-channel attacks).
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Choresnest, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or device malfunction, arising out of your use or inability to use the software.
